Dr Donatella Tampieri
has received her degree in Medicine and certificate of Specialist in
Radiology from the University of Bologna, Italy in 1986. Since 1984 she
worked as neuroradiologist in the Department of
Neuroradiology of Ospedale Niguarda-Ca
Grande in Milano. After a fellowship in Neuroradiology at the Montreal
Neurological Hospital and Institute she was offered a position as assistant
professor in October 1987.
Since then Dr Tampieri has practice diagnostic
and interventional Neuroradiology in the same institution. She currently
holds the position of Chief of Neuroradiology at the Montreal Neurological
Hospital and Institute and she is Professor of Radiology, Neurology and
Neurosurgery at McGill University.
Dr Tampieri has contributed with over 200
articles in peer review journal and several chapters in book. She has
obtained many grants and recognition and she has been invited as VP and
guest speaker in multiple occasions.
Her scientific interests are: treatment of intracranial aneurysms, vascular
malformations and endovascular revascularization. she partecipates
in muticenter trial for the evaluation of new
devices for the treatment of intracranila
aneurysms such as Silk stent .In Diagnostic Neuroradiology her major
interest is epilepsy and brain tumors.
Finally Dr Tampieri has served in several
national an international society holding various
position in their administrative board. She is
currently the Chair of the Council of Physicians at the Montréal
Neurological Hospital and Institute.
